Hi. We're Partners In Pediatrics. You can call us PIP.

Here's a little about our practice so you can get to know us.

Partners In Pediatrics Metro Denver Colorado Doctor Pediatrician Child Health Prenatal Expecting Expectant Mother Family Father Baby Newborn Infant Hospital Care

From birth through young adulthood, PIP partners with you to provide whole-child care that supports your child’s health, growth, and happiness at every stage. Each family is different, and we work closely with you to create your child's best life from day one.

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

How do I choose a provider?

At PIP we share patients, meaning no provider is “closed” to new patients. Our schedule allows families to choose who they would like to see for in-advance visits (such as check-ups or chronic medical care), but offer the flexibility of same day, acute visits with the openings available.

Do you have separate sick and well waiting rooms?

Yes, at both locations. We try our best not to keep patients waiting if a room is available, especially the most vulnerable such as newborns or medically fragile patients.

Do you offer after-hours care?

Other than our Saturday morning “urgent care” clinic, the offices are not open past 5pm on weekdays or during the rest of the weekend. We do offer phone call coverage for emergent questions through the nurses of the Parent Smart line at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

What is the schedule of check-ups?

We follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics “Bright Beginnings” program. We do not offer sick-only care and require patients to stay up to date on their child’s well care to remain an active patient. This includes newborn (post-delivery), 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, and 3 years of age, then annually through age 19.

What preventive measures are recommended for my baby following birth?

Three preventive measures are recommended for newborns immediately following birth, including an antibiotic eye ointment to prevent infections, a vitamin K injection to prevent bleeding disorders, and the first Hepatitis B vaccine. These standard treatments are recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics to ensure immediate health protection.

What is your vaccine policy?

We believe strongly in the safety and effectiveness of routine childhood immunizations and follow the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our own children have been vaccinated on this schedule, and we encourage families to consider it carefully as one of the most important ways to protect their child’s health.

We also understand that becoming a parent comes with many decisions. If you have questions or concerns about vaccines, we welcome thoughtful conversation and are here to provide clear, evidence-based guidance.

In alignment with Colorado state policy, families may choose alternative schedules or exemptions. In those cases, required documentation must be completed, and immunization records are accessed through the state registry.

Does PIP offer lactation support?

We are deeply committed to supporting nursing families and helping breastfeeding be successful for those who choose it. Partners In Pediatrics maintains strong relationships with trusted community lactation consultants and resources, many of whom provide in-home support. We have found that this personalized, one-on-one approach often offers the most meaningful help during the early days, while our providers continue to support you and your baby at every visit.

What if I have additional questions?

We’ve done our best to thoughtfully address the most common questions expectant parents have as they prepare to welcome a new baby. That said, we understand that every family and every situation is unique, and we are here to support you. If there are specific prenatal diagnoses or individual medical concerns, we are happy to offer a complimentary call with one of our owner physicians to review your questions and help guide next steps.

Meet Our Team

At Partners in Pediatrics, our providers work as a true team. We share patients, which means you never have to worry about a provider being “closed” to new families. Your child always has access to care when you need it.

For routine check-ups and ongoing care, you’re welcome to request continuity with a specific provider whenever possible. When urgent or same-day concerns come up, we prioritize getting your child seen quickly, which may mean seeing the first available provider from our trusted team.

All of our providers care for patients at both of our locations, allowing flexibility and access, though individual schedules vary. No matter who you see, you can feel confident knowing every provider is aligned in our approach and familiar with your child’s care.
